During my trip to Berlin I found an awesome radio channel called KissFM. And here are the most played songs of the last weeks so you get an idea about what kind of music they play. Enjoy
I gotta feeling - Black Eyed Peas
Hotel Room Service - Pitbull
I Love College - Asher Roth
Aufstehn - Seeed
When Love takes over - David Guetta ft. Kelly Rowland
by John Nash and covered 20 years later by Jimmy Cliff for the movie "Cool Runnings"
Decide on your own which one is better, if you like music like this ;)
Oh yeah and here are the lyrics:
I can see clearly now, the rain is gone, I can see all obstacles in my way Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind It’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright) Sun-Shiny day.
I think I can make it now, the pain is gone All of the bad feelings have disappeared Here is the rainbow I’ve been prayin?for It’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright) Sun-Shiny day.
Look all around, there’s nothin?but blue skies Look straight ahead, nothin?but blue skies
I can see clearly now, the rain is gone, I can see all obstacles in my way Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind It’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright) Sun-Shiny day.
I should start this with "Once upon a time..." but everyone knows the way I switch topics between conversations... OK, this time I try my best.
Today I was searching for some videos showing the lake Houhai (后海) in Beijing (北京) cause this is one of the spots you shouldn't miss in when you are going to Beijing. Last year I was at Houhai during Mid Autumn Festival (中秋节 / Zhong qiu jie) and with this year's Moon festival approaching on September 14, I remembered the beautiful scenery. So I searched at Youtube for some Houhai related videos but only found few results. One of these results was a video showing friends or a couple ice biking and heard a nice song. Unfortunately I didn't remember the Artist and the song title. But luckily for me I know a nice nifty tool called Tunatics which searches its online database for some beats and stuff like that. Downloaded, installed, done. What an easy task ^^ This is one of the reasons why I like internet :-)
Oh by the way: The song was Island in the Sun by Weezer.
I got this song some time ago but today I was listening the first time to its lyrics...
Lyrics:
Was it you That said that she could never get enough of me But you confessed That when we were alone you had to tell yourself to breathe So maybe I Should feel a little more like I've been living in a dream Well I'm asking you should I stay
Even though I love you (I can't help thinking about if I'd be better without you) If we stay together (it could get worse, then again, maybe it could get better) Even though I love you (I can't help thinking about if I'd be better without you) Somethings wrong we both know That you and I still got a long way to go
Why would you? Wanna be with me instead of other guys Oh make me feel Like something special God I think I've heard a million times So would it be enough To buy you everything and call you mine 'Cause it won't last long if I do
Even though I love you (I can't help thinking about if I'd be better without you) If we stay together (it could get worse, then again, maybe it could get better) Even though I love you (I can't help thinking about if I'd be better without you) Somethings wrong we both know That you and I still got a long way to go
If I would leave tomorrow You'd be the last to know
Even though I love you If we stay together
Even though I love you (I can't help thinking about if I'd be better without you) If we stay together (it could get worse, then again, maybe it could get better) Even though I love you (I can't help thinking about if I'd be better without you) Somethings wrong we both know That you and I still got a long..long way to go
Long way to go Long way to go Still got a long way to go

Hey, we just sung on our KTV/Singstar Party at Patti's place Coldplay's "Fix You" and I remembered how much I loved this song and how meaningful the lyrics are...
For those who don't know, here are the lyrics plus a youtube link. Have fun ^^
Oh and here are some other VERY good news: I got today a reply from the University of Applied Sciences in Dortmund. I got a seat to study there International Business or Business Information Technology. Now I only have to make a decision whether I take the first or the latter... Nonetheless it seems like my goal to study abroad in Guangzhou (hopefully) in two years has come one step closer.
When you try your best but you don't succeed When you get what you want but not what you need When you feel so tired but you can't sleep Stuck in reverse
When the tears come streaming down your face When you lose something you can't replace When you love someone but it goes to waste Could it be worse?
Lights will guide you home And ignite your bones And I will try to fix you
And high up above or down below When you're too in love to let it go But if you never try then you'll never know Just what you're worth
Lights will guide you home And ignite your bones And I will try to fix you
Tears stream down your face When you lose something you cannot replace Tears stream down your face And I...
Tears stream down your face I promise you that I'll learn from my mistakes Tears stream down your faceAnd I...
Lights will guide you home And ignite your bones And I will try to fix you
Some weeks ago I watched the movie "Meet the Spartans". Well, no questions about any deeper sense in this movie, but it was kinda funny though. So maybe you noticed some songs and you liked them but you don't really know their names. Fortunately I faced the same problem and did some research. Here you go :)
The song you can hear at Carmen's dance scene is the MSTRKRFT Remix of D.A.N.C.E by Justice. In case you don't find it online simply download the MP3 file through right-clicking on the following link and select save as.
While surfing through the internet I found a song that played in the background of a website. I easily downloaded the song but it was simply called "1697220303.mp3". All I knew was that some parts of the lyrics were like this:
When i think about loving that you gave to me then i think about maybe we were meant to be sometimes i cry?
What!?!?!? Yeah it took some time but in the end I found out the song is called "Sometimes I cry" by "New Ridaz". Kinda smooth and relaxing song.
OK, no real video but if you like here come the lyrics.
Tada. Et voila. 3 months are over since my last playlist and here comes number 2 containing my favorite songs at the moment.

Some of you might know the song 'Shui diao ge tou' which has been covered by Faye Wong several years ago. In case you are interested in it, here are the lyrics in 1. Traditional Chinese, 2. Simplified Chinese and for the guys who are unable to read kanjis: 3. Pinyin.
It took some time but I've found only the lyrics in Traditional Chinese (+English translation) on the link above at Wikipedia.
To download the lyrics as a Word .doc file click here.

I relocated the playlist section in the right info bar to the postings cause I think this way I will update it more often ;-) Don't be suprised. I often mix different kind of music but that's just because I don't really have the opinion that there's only one TRUE music style. This means that sometimes even cheap pop music will find its way into the playlist. And of course some 'oldies' or what I think are classics. Maybe you won't know all songs. A reason might be I live in Germany but I am sure most of the songs are well known.
So here comes list #1 (2007-08-15):
1 (-) Faye Wong - Heart of glass 2 (-) Ghosts - The World Is Outside 3 (-) Apollo Four Forty - Cold rock the mic 4 (-) Shauna K. (SlipN-Slide) feat. PS: Unknown for most westerners 'Faye Wong' or 王菲 has been THE superstar of music business in Asia for the last 15 years (please correct me if I am wrong).
Heyho folks. A few months ago I found some really old sound samples recorded in 1997 and 1998. Unfortunately I never found out who the composer of these track was. So I like to ask you guys if someone's the missing info.
Song1 (don't know the origin but should be older than 1997)
Song2 (background music of a Star Wars game commercial back in 1998)
