Back from Sylt but what now? Curacao has been flooded :(

On 20th June I came back from a in the end really relaxing Sylt vacation. After a few hours of unpacking my bags I wanted to watch a movie in the evening. But suprise suprise, the server didn't responded.
So I thought: "Hey maybe it needs a reboot" and wnet into the basement were the server is located.
I heard a noise that sounded like it is raining cats and dogs outside and took a look out of the window. Hmm, suprisingly there was no raining outside but the laping noise continued...
So I went to the basement and saw this


First thought: "SHIT!!!" Then a moment of calming down and the second thought: "SHIT SHIT SHIT!!! AAAAhhhhhh!!!"

There was a was a big leak in the garden hose so I think everybody can imagine how happy I was. Well the next 5 hours I had my fun doing the cleaning (till 4:30AM)... After that I realized why my lovely Curacao server wasn't responding... :(

PS: I never name one of my servers after an island...

Moin moin from Sylt

Yippie... arrived yesterday at Westerland/Sylt in German Northsea and suprise suprise we had shitty weather...
Well, maybe this will get better soon. As for me, I tried to do some sport yesterday evening to get started and used with the fresh air ;)

Microsoft Photosynth Preview

About a year ago, I saw an amazing video of the Microsoft Live Lab's project called Photosynth at a MSDN event. Everybody who say it just was astounded.
